Portal Woods

Martlesham Heath Householders Ltd (MHHL) is aware of the proposed sale of Portal Woods.

We can confirm that MHHL holds a 999 year lease on the land extending from the Control Tower to the bend in the fencing where there is seating. This area is not being sold.

We understand that the Parish Council has been leasing Portal Woods on an annual basis, and that the land has been actively maintained and cared for by the Portal Woods Conservation Group. We recognise and appreciate the longstanding stewardship provided by both the Parish Council and the volunteer group.

MHHL will continue to co operate fully with the Parish Council regarding any matters connected to the future of Portal Woods. However, MHHL is not in a position to purchase the land.
